The #SiblingStories – Cousins & Friends – #SiblingTalk

Honestly, I don’t have any siblings in my life. Now you are thinking that how could I write a post for them? Did I ever experience that pure love and bonding?

Yes, I am the only daughter and I don’t have any siblings but few people are there in my life who are more than siblings to me. They love me, they support me and they have proved many times that blood relation is not the ultimate one.

So, today I am going to thank them all for making my life beautiful.

Sayan:  I have many cousins but he is special always. In my heart, I have a special corner for him. He is literally my ‘mushkil asaan’ (problem solver). We have so many precious memories and we used to share all our feelings with each other, starting from teenage crush to the family issue, health problem and everything. People used to tell many big words but when the time comes they just forget everything. But he is exceptional, he is best. He is just like my own brother and we enjoy each other’s company a lot.

Sibling Talk

Shreyashi: We don’t have any blood relation. When I was in college, we met for the first time. We are poles apart but we have a special connection. She is the one who knows everything of mine (yes, I mean it   ). We have spent so many sleepless nights with endless babbling. Bollywood gossips to unknown phone calls, blind date to street shopping – yes we have all the memories.

Sudipto: In our corporate world, what we can expect is dirty politics. Yes, I was the victims many times. So you know, you can’t even think about a healthy relationship here. But I was lucky though, I have got a brother like him here. He doesn’t know the sugar coated words and fortunately not into the buttering game. Somehow I can connect with him so well. I appreciate his honesty; diplomacy and conspiracy is not his cup of tea. In my bad time, he has helped me a lot and I will be grateful for that for my whole life.

Soumi: She is my younger sister, yes for her I don’t want to use the word cousin. She is a true diva and she has an infectious smile. I think we have almost 10yrs age gap but that doesn’t spoil our relationship. We share everything with each other even I act like an elder sis all the time. Best lipstick shades to the recent fashion trend – we do a solid discussion every time.

Cousins

Now see, my name starts with ‘S’ and these 4 names also start with the 19th alphabet. I really don’t know it’s just a coincidence or it has a numerological explanation! These 4 persons are more than siblings to me and I feel blessed for having them in my life.

  1. Sayeri, from your post I can clearly see how much you adore your cousins and friend. I totally agree sometimes blood relation is not the ultimate one. In the end what matters most is the kind of understanding, comfort level we have with the other person.

  2. Hi Sayeri,

Great post. I have just a sister and I love her immensely. I don’t have any brother, however I have few friends who are more than a brother. They are my lifeline. They make my world beautiful. It was wonderful reading your post. it brought back few amazing memories.

Thanks for sharing this post. Have a good day. 🙂

  3. People don’t have to be related by birth, to be known as siblings. Your beautiful post has just shown us that, Sayeri. Lovely pics, that added to your heartfelt feeling you shared. Lovely read.

  4. This is such a beautiful gesture. Thanking all the people who have been there through thick and thin. And if you find such people then it is not necessary to have blood relation with them.

  5. We share close unconditional bonding with siblings and they can be from same mother or different. Interesting take on #SiblingStories #SiblingTalk and you are lucky to have so many S in your life. Wonderful co-incidence.

  6. Absolutely! In life we meet such gems that they get as close to us as any relative or sibling. Besties are definitely no less than a sister/bro.
